Customizing pop up menu used during text edition

Hi All

I would like to customize the pop up menu that appears when you are editing text content in any attributes. I mean the menu where you can change text appearance (bold, italic, underline, etc...)

Any idea about this customization ?

Thanks and regards

You can certainly add custom menu's to the standard formal module pop-up menu, the one you see when you do a RH mouse click over an object. AFAIK, you cannot add custom menu items to the object edit pop-up menu, the one that appears when you are editing text within an object and the one that you're referring to.

Just in case this is still of interest to you and others - to add custom menu items to the DOORS standard pop-up menus and other menu's, go to the ...\lib\dxl\config\... directory within your DOORS client installation, you will see a series of sub folders that the DOORS client will interrogate at start-up to see if it needs to add any custom menu items (this is a handy way to dynamically set up menu's during the client start-up e.g. conditional menu's based on a users login type).

The ....\lib\dxl\config\formalPopupFiles directory is where you would define menu items to add to the end of the standard formal module pop-up menu.

The basic DXL menu construct is as follows - you will need to read up on the arguments for the DXL createMenu() and createItem() functions in the DXL Reference Manual (available under the Help menu of the DOORS Explorer or any open module).

createMenu(<arguments>) //set up a new menu to add to the end of the pop-up
     createItem(<arguments>)) //add a menu item
     createItem(<arguments>)) //add a menu item
end menu

Thanks Paul, I'm interested by the first you refer when you are editing text within an object.

I wanted to add a new functions to insert MS WORD references used by the WEXP from RMF (here is the syntax -> )
